Students get 250 natives in the ground

ree

With the winter planting season well underway, a group of hardworking Rangitoto students and a Kristin School hockey team made the most of a sunny Saturday, planting 250 natives at the Rosedale Park restoration site.

The 65 young people worked with some of our volunteers to carry out the infill planting across the site and start stabilising some of the land near the chicken enclosure.

They had a variety of species to plant and navigated muddy conditions from recent rain, putting in a solid two-hour effort.
