Guided walk a chance to tour restoration

We’re opening the gates and inviting our community to come and see the progress of Te Hōnonga a Iwi Restoring Rosedale Park.

Join us for a relaxed and informative tour on Thursday 23 April from 1pm to 2pm, starting at the mara kai.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the development of the mara kai — and how the project is creating positive social, ecological and economic outcomes for our community.

We’ll share how we are applying regenerative agriculture principles across the site, including our nursery and syntropic garden, before heading out on a guided walk through the restoration area.

Along the way, we’ll also talk about the next steps in our strategy to support the greening of the nearby Rosedale Business Development Unit, and how local businesses can get involved in climate action.

There will be plenty of time to ask questions, connect, and explore.

We warmly welcome current stakeholders, local residents, and businesses interested in being part of this kaupapa.

What to expect:

  • A short walking tour (approximately 500m return)

  • Uneven ground, including thick kikuyu grass

What to bring:

  • Sturdy or older shoes

  • A hat and water bottle

  • A raincoat (just in case!)

To RSVP, please contact Nicky Shave at hello@restoringrosedalepark.org.nz and let us know if you have any mobility considerations we should be aware of.
