Policies
Our priority at Te Hōnonga a Iwi is keeping our community and volunteers safe. These guidelines are in place to mitigate and address any potential hazards.

Child and Youth Saftey
It is the responsibility of any community-based organization involving children and young people to promote their safety and wellbeing. Promoting child and youth safety involves a two-pronged approach that mitigates physical hazards in the outdoor setting and a robust child protection policy that promotes the emotional, psychological and spiritual safety of Te Hōnonga a Iwi child or youth volunteers including contact and communications before, during or after working bees and with Te Hōnonga a Iwi Youth Leaders volunteering within autonomous leadership roles.
