Signs of support

Writer: Te Hōnonga a IwiTe Hōnonga a Iwi

Matt Behrent from Global Signage Concepts was first introduced to Te Hōnonga a Iwi when the Rosedale Park restoration featured on television show Seven Sharp.

He loved what our amazing volunteers were achieving.

So, when our team needed some support with signs to create awareness and provide information, Matt was happy to help.

Global Signage Concepts printed two teardrop signs, five posters and an upright banner for the project. The Te Hōnonga a Iwi team uses them at conferences, presentations and visits to kindergartens, retirement villages, Massey University and school orientation days. They are also used when we host working bees at the restoration or the community food garden and when we host events at North Harbour Hockey.

Global Signage Concepts is a full-service signage business.

“We love to partner with organisations to help design, develop and deliver their brand to the world,” Matt says.

Environmental sustainability is important to Matt and his team.

“Our industry does have a high waste component. We work hard to find solutions for our partners that limit the impact we are having on the environment. We are dedicated to leaving a better environment for future generations.”

Global Signage Concepts uses solvent-free printing and has started to use recyclable print media, especially for collateral for short-term events.

The company partners with Auckland’s Eden Park, where management is very conscious about limiting waste and maximising recycling opportunities.

“We work hard to try to implement repurposed or reusable solutions.”

The Global Signage Concepts team supports several community organisations, including Coastguard, Westpac Rescue Helicopter and local schools and sports groups.
