Rosedale project short-listed for Harbour Sport award

Te Hōnonga a Iwi Restoring Rosedale Park is up for a 2022 Harbour Sport Excellence Award.

Our project is one of three finalists in the Community Impact category, which is new this year.


The other finalists are Kaipatiki Community Facilities Trust and Touch North Harbour Junior Academy Programme.


Congratulations to Harbour Hockey which is a finalist twice in the Leadership in Diversity and Inclusion category for its Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and the Hockey Without Limits programme.


Harbour hockey player Paige Blake is a finalist in the Junior Sportswoman of the Year category, the Cello North Harbour Hockey U18 Boys Hockey team is a finalist in the Junior Team of the Year section and the team’s coach Hitendra Patel is a finalist in the Community Coach of the Year category. The Rankin Cup/India Shield tournament has been named a finalist in the Sporting Event of the Year category.


The winners will be announced at an awards evening at Event Finda Stadium on Friday, 25 November.

Our restoration site is located behind Hilton Brown Swimming. You can park on Volkner Place, at the National Hockey Centre, or at Rosedale Playground off of Jack Hinton Drive.
