Te Hōnonga a Iwi – Restoring Rosedale Park has won a 2022 Hockey New Zealand Award.
The project took out the Community Initiative of the Year category in the awards, which were announced during the Pro League hockey series in Christchurch on April 29.
North Harbour Hockey Association CEO Brad Clark collected the award on behalf of the wider Te Hōnonga a Iwi team.
Project co-ordinator Nicky Shave says congratulations should go to all stakeholder in the project, including local schools, businesses, environmental groups and Auckland Council.
“It’s great to work together to mitigate climate change.”
