We are having an open day to allow our supporters, other environmental groups and members of the public an opportunity to learn more about what we are doing at Te Hōnonga a Iwi Restoring Rosedale Park.
We would love to you help us advertise this event through your social media or organisation newsletters and bring anyone interested in our project along on the day.
The presentation will be held on Saturday, 5 November at the National Hockey Centre in Bush Road, followed by a site visit.
Project co-ordinator Nicky Shave, from the North Harbour Hockey Association will be giving an outline of the restoration sustainability model, which involves local businesses working in partnership with iwi and the local community to mitigate climate change.
Then Matt Cummings from Untangled Landscapes will give a presentation on regeneration of soil biome.
There will be a Q&A session, followed by refreshments.
Then everyone will have a chance to walk to the site to discuss novel aspects of the restoration including the 10 climate mitigation initiatives, the use of Johnston-Su bioreactors, the cover crop and the use of recycled water to drive down our carbon emissions
