AGM another first for Te Hōnonga a Iwi

Te Hōnonga a Iwi held its first Annual General Meeting earlier this month, marking another milestone for our young incorporated society.

Members, supporters and volunteers gathered at North Harbour Hockey for the meeting, where we presented our first Annual Report, including our financial reports and a snapshot of what we have achieved over the past year.

Our guest speaker was Rangitoto College student and youth leader Chris Kumala, who spoke about why he volunteers with Te Hōnonga a Iwi and his involvement in other community projects.

Chris also shared the story behind his own charity, which collects good-quality used sports equipment and distributes it to people who might otherwise miss out.
